Saptrangi is an important herb that controls blood glucose levels by preventing carbohydrate absorption. After consuming food rich in carbohydrates, Saptrangi normalizes elevated glucose level by targeting the enzyme α-glucosidase. It delays the digestion and in turn the absorption of carbohydrates in the small intestine. These carbohydrate blockers slow the final stages of carbohydrate digestion, preventing the entry of glucose into blood circulation and improves glucose handling. They may also be used for effectively treating obesity.
